Schmuel Joshua’s story did not begin in a boardroom or a classroom — it began at a pulpit. At just ten years old, in the coastal city of Mombasa, he stood before hundreds and delivered his first sermon. Two years later, a radical encounter with the Gospel set the course of his life irrevocably: not toward comfort or ambition, but toward the nations.

Tested early by hardship and shaped by obedience, Joshua made a defining choice at nineteen — forfeiting a prestigious academic opportunity in the United Kingdom to answer the call to pastoral and missionary work. He co-founded his first church in Mombasa, relocated to Nairobi, and was eventually released to establish what would become JEMIC and the Glory Embassy in 2012. What began as a local congregation has grown into an international ministry carried across Uganda, the DRC, Tanzania, and South Africa.
He holds the highest academic honours from PAC University and has authored over 15 manuscripts. Alongside his wife Emma — a licensed minister, legal advocate, and cornerstone of the ministry’s strategic vision — he leads a family-owned enterprise, Moretive Limited, whose portfolio spans real estate, agri-business, and Kenya’s premium hospitality sector. Together, they are building a legacy where faith and enterprise are not in competition, but in covenant.
The Foundation: Family & Partnership
Beyond the global platforms and the ministerial mandate, the core of Schmuel Joshua’s life is his family. He is married to Emma, a distinguished Advocate whose professional precision and legal background bring a unique layer of excellence to their shared mission.
Emma is a licensed minister in her own right, and far more than a partner in life and a cornerstone of the ministry’s spiritual and operational depth. Known for her powerful role as an intercessor and worship leader, she carries a mantle that shifts atmospheres and anchors the ministry in deep devotion.
In the demanding environment of international leadership, her contribution is indispensable. Emma applies her keen eye for detail—a trait honed in her legal career—to the intricate demands of ministry management and strategic oversight. Together, Schmuel and Emma are raising two wonderful children, building a legacy that balances the weight of global ministry with the warmth of a Christ-centered home.
Moretive Limited: A Legacy of Stewardship
While his primary focus remains the spread of the Gospel, Schmuel Joshua is equally committed to the biblical principle of stewardship through enterprise. In partnership with his wife, Emma, he operates Moretive Limited, a family-owned corporation with a diverse portfolio that reflects their commitment to economic growth and community provision.
